The Sporting News stayed on top of the live results of the 2023 NHL Draft from the very first pick to the last one with coverage of all 32 selections from Nashville beginning with the Blackhawks taking Connor Bedard at No. 1.

First Round Highlights

• Connor Bedard and Adam Fantilli went 1-2 as predicted.
• The big surprise of the first round was the Arizona Coyotes taking Colby Barlow over Brayden Yager and David Reinbacher.
• The Calgary Flames traded up to No. 5 to select Brayden Yager.
• The Columbus Blue Jackets selected David Reinbacher with the No. 6 pick.
• The Buffalo Sabres rounded out the top 10 with the selection of Cameron Allen.
• The remaining picks in the first round went mostly as expected, with a few minor surprises here and there.
