Dana Bash is a CNN chief political correspondent and anchor of State of the Union. Early Life and Education

Bash was born in New York City and raised in suburban Washington, D.C. She graduated from George Washington University with a degree in journalism. After college, she worked as a reporter for local newspapers in Maryland before joining CNN in 1993.

Career at CNN
