Chad Daybell has been sentenced to death Saturday following his conviction Thursday for the first-degree murders of his first wife, Tammy Daybell, and two stepchildren, Joshua "JJ" Vallow and Tylee Ryan.
The jury that found Daybell guilty also recommended the death penalty, which was ultimately imposed by Judge Steven Boyce.
Daybell's convictions stem from the deaths of Tammy Daybell in 2019 and JJ and Tylee in 2020. The children were found buried on Daybell's Idaho property, while Tammy's body was discovered in their Salem, Idaho home.
Daybell's wife, Lori Vallow Daybell, is also facing charges in the case. Her trial is scheduled to begin in April 2023.
